Buy Dale Farm a pint – Emergency funding appeal

Dale Farm urgently needs your fiver!

It’s amazing what what community defiance, barricades and solidarity can achieve – the struggle to let Dale Farm live is alive and kicking! But it urgently needs yours help – there’s a desperate need for some immediate cash to keep things going.

If you were standing in a bar with the people who were responsible for the Dale Farm resistance, you’d want to buy them a pint, right? So why not s…end them the price of a pint right now online so that they can keep up their amazing work. If 1,000 people would chuck in a fiver here and now, that would be 5 grand and more than enough to cover all the food, phone, credit and barricading materials that people need right now!

If you haven’t been able to make it down, then this is a great way to show your support right now.

Here’s what to do:

1) Go to the Dale Farm donate page and send us a fiver. You can do it online via paypal. You don’t need a paypal account to do it, just a bankcard. You can pay more than a fiver if you can afford it!

2) If you use facebook, when you have made a donation – write in your status update in facebook that you have donated, and encourage other people to do so, and give the link to the donate page on the Dale Farm website.

3) Invite all your friends to join this event on Facebook, and post it on your profile.

4) Tweet about it too – here’s a sample tweet – Emergency funding appeal for @LetDaleFarmLive Please support them by sending a fiver (or more) http://bit.ly/r4Wu4i

5) Lot’s of people aren’t on facebook or twitter – send an email round with this info to people who might be able to make a quick donation.

Thanks very much – we have faith in the amazing support we have had, locally and internationally, that we can quickly get together the money that we need.
