The service will commence at 15.00 (Friday) and will take place at St John’s Church Waterloo, London.

The memorial will be conducted by a Romany pastor from Life and Light.

We will remember the Porrajmos, and celebrate brothers, sisters and friends and who have dedicated their lives to the cause of equality and human rights for the Romany people and our brotherly and sisterly friends and colleagues who are Travellers.

Following on we will lay a wreath at the war memorial.

There will be an exhibition and other activities (schedule soon) to celebrate the 40 anniversary of the first World Romani Congress, which took place in London in 1971.

As part of the 8th April annual day we will remember our dead, celebrate our culture, the Romany Flag and our anthem Dzelem, Dzelem which were also adopted on the 8th April 1971 in London.
